The Journey

Essential to the destination is the journey. I'd say that the journey is the essence of the destination. The objective isn't as much to arrive as it is to experience the journey in the process of getting there.

How's your journey? Enjoying your trip? Difficult days? Bumps or turns in the road? It's all a part of the journey. If we are trusting God in this process, we will be more likely to benefit from and even enjoy the journey. Try trusting today.

1 Peter 1:17 (MSG)
17 You call out to God for help and he helps—he's a good Father that way. But don't forget, he's also a responsible Father, and won't let you get by with sloppy living. Your life is a journey you must travel with a deep consciousness of God.

What I love about the journey are the random things the unexpected it's what makes life interesting.

The metaphor of journeying describes the Christian journey so well that it has unfortunately become a bit cliched. I've even heard a few people oppose it altogether because they think we've lost touch with the destination. However, I think you're right, Jim, the destination doesn't make sense unless you take notice of what's happening along the way.

Looking forward to catching up when you return. JDK

During this week I have been at 5 year review with my fellow "believers". We have been spending much time looking at the journey past, present and future.

We all praise God for the journey that He has taken us on and we are reliant on Him for journeying mercies in the future.

God bless our facilitator Maj Christine Faragher

Five years on the journey is GOOD.
