Hong Kong Island East Corps

So my first visit to Hong Kong included attending the Hong Kong Island East Corps. Officered by Major Maureen Ki, it is a beautiful corps, fully functioning and alive in their faith. I was particularly impressed with the large percentage of young adults. I imagine that we could learn alot from this corps on that subject.

With so many delegates of the SPEA Health Consultation, it was a multi-national worship service with translation abounding in the room. Even with all these potential barriers we sensed the presence of God and celebrated His love. Hallelujah!

Matthew 1:21 (NIV)
21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

And while you sensed His presence and celebrated his love in Hong Kong we did the same at Greensborough under the leadership and fellowship and wonderful times of prayer with your lovely wife Carolyn here at Greensborough. We were truly blessed and we are believing that God will honour the many hours that we spent in his presence. We had a great day. A number of us managed to be there for the whole 12 hrs and what a 12hrs it was. God bless, VH

I was impressed too with what went on at Greensborough VH. Though I have been on the way a long time I confess that I have struggled with prayer. In these days of retirement I am learning more and coming to the conclusion that I/we have under-utilised this resource. I am in touch with someone who majors on prayer and I have learned quite a lot from her. God wants to do a lot for us but we don't ask. I'm also re-learning that prayer is much more than asking for things.
