Hoping

Hoping for the believer is way more than wishing. The hope filled Christian has her sights on future reality. It comes from faith in God. He is so faithful to us, He "makes a believer out of..." a believer.

When your hopes are dashed, turn to the Lord who can and has resurrected hopes from the ashes of despair. Hallelujah!

Isaiah 61:3 (NIV)
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

We have hope no matter what, because we don't have to wish to have a great ending to our journey.

Thanks for this Jim

Dear Jim
We've just had an amazing day - we launched the Hope for Life campaign and have brought the issue of suicide prevention to the attention of the whole community. It's wonderful that God gave you the concept of Hope to speak about in your blog. As you know we called the suicide prevention and bereavement support programmes Hope for Life because that's what people need most - HOPE - Hope is the promise of things to come and ofcourse those whose Hope is in the Lord have the future assured.

Miss you guys - see you soon W
