Coming Attractions

In the many ways that the Aggressive Christianity Conference will be unique, challenging and powerful, you can expect something of an unveiling for the Australia Southern Territory as well. Look for it. Pray for it and expect it.

The guests include Lt. Colonels Richard and Janet Munn, Russell Rook, Commissioner Joe Noland and many more. I believe this one will go down in the record books as one of the best. Hallelujah! Plan to be there.

Jude 1:2 (MSG)
2 Relax, everything's going to be all right; rest, everything's coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!

good for you havng this. i understand the idea of agressive..i wonder if in the context of today's culture if the term might cause a negative backlash from those outside the kingdom..certainly, some controversy in that way would stir interest.

Larry - speaking as a nonbeliever, I will affirm that your concern is well-placed. Non-Christians of all sorts are deeply offended by Christian aggression. I respect the rights of Christians to believe in and worship their God. I wish that they would reciprocate and respect the fact that I don't share their beliefs and refrain from continually imposing their beliefs on me. I understand the Great Commission and the impulse to "rescue the perishing" and "snatch them in pity from sin and the grave." Nevertheless, non-Christians really do not need to hear, yet again, that we're destined for hell because we don't agree with Christians and accept their beliefs as our own.

A better stance is to be more aggressive than the Christians. Not difficult, as the fundamentalist flavours of the faith beloved by many Salvos are easily dismantled.

Like all church events, the focus is mainly on preaching to the converted. Churches are good at being busy but achieving nothing.

This is equally true of the liberal flavours of faith.
