Home Sweet Home

As we walked in the door of our quarters it felt good. It's always good to be home. We've learned through the years of many quarters that you really sense the comfort of being home after you've been away. In the first few months of a new appointment, we know we're settling in when that "home sweet home" sensation hits returning from a trip or assignment.

More and more, though, I'm feeling less at home on this planet. There's a home prepared for each of us who know Jesus as Lord. Much of what is going on around us in this world makes me less comfortable, recognising that heaven is my home with the Lord. One day, by the promise of God we will be home. Many of our family members and friends have already gone there. Hallelujah!

John 14:2 (KJV)
2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Are you aware of any Salvo's blogs you do not link to, Jim?

What message are you sending out by linking to some and not others?

The world laughs on.

David - I'm sure there are many blogs not listed here. There are many that do list many more. You might like to refer to them for your purposes.

David, feel free to check out my blog. I have heard that you do the rounds of many, maybe it would be good for you to start your own so we can get to know you better. I look forward to reading your blog.

I don't know who you are, David Boughton, and why would you suggest that blogs are a substitute for personal acquaintance?

Are blogs the new, convenient way to do evangelising from the comfort of your own home?

How many souls have you won for Christ, month to date, year to date and life to date? Better get out there and keep the stats up.

I love Jesus and can't wait to see Him.
Yet I love life and treasure every minute I am given, as a divinely prepared gift to be embraced.

The tug of war and spiritual encouragement given - to be with Jesus, to be here; the Kingdom of God to come, the Kingdom of God here now - how very present and telling.

The motivational encouragement through Scripture, power - Christ in us, the hope of glory.
