Territorial Composers and Songwriters Symposium

As a part of our hopes to "fan into flame the gift of God" among us, the Territorial Music and Creative Arts Department organised the above referenced symposium. The guest was Lt. Colonel Norman Bearcroft. he was excellent and contributed significantly.

I'm grateful to each person who attended as well as the leaders, Captains Mark and Tracey Bearcroft. It's clear that we will want to repeat the opportunity next year. Absolutely great.

Isaiah 42:10 (MSG)
10 Sing to God a brand-new song, sing his praises all over the world! Let the sea and its fish give a round of applause, with all the far-flung islands joining in.

Let me be the first to say thanks! It was certainly a great time, and I think the few sparks of creativity I have within me have been fanned.

Whilst the sessions and workshops were great, the real beauty of the symposium was the opportunity to spend time with some of the most talented and Godly musicians the Army has to offer. The seeds sown (if I may change the metaphor) at this event will be bearing fruit for many years, I'm sure.

It was a special weekend where we were guided by some of the great songwriters/composers within the Army. I think it's great that we could just come together to put our heads together and really focus on what our role is in the bigger picture of building the Kingdom and how to go about that with the greatest outcomes.
Praise God for this opportunity and the people that were able to come together - it was a blessed time!
Great to have you there too Commissioner
