Christmas Devotions

Every Thursday morning at THQ we share in a time of devotions and prayer. Today, Carolyn led the devotions and welcomed Merryn Steel as the guest soloist. She'd the deputy songster leader of the Melbourne Staff Songsters. She sang several songs to our delight and by doing so, witnessed to the grace of God in her life.

With Christmas coming quickly, we should take every opportunity to celebrate the presence of God by the birth of Jesus in our lives. Hallelujah! Do it with love and devotion.

Proverbs 14:34 (MSG)
34 God-devotion makes a country strong; God-avoidance leaves people weak.

What's God done recently, say year to date? Is He worth our devotion?

man, he blesses me everyday, its personal David. I get verification of his presence over and over again. its not at all what you think. I wish there was some way to let you in on the truth. Bugs me i can't. You may think I've flipped my lid to talk this way. but if you were me, you'd know God is the only part of me I trust. the rest of me is a bit off most of the time. but when He is in the mix, it's very clear to me. Now for the world, if we only knew how chaotic things would be if He weren't doing something... but perhaps you were just asking Jim. sorry, sometimes I can't stop myself.

"What's God done recently..?" He's got you thinking and asking questions, which is far better than ignoring our wonderful God, who is the only one worthy of our devotion and praise. In the words of one wise woman I heard recently: 'God loves you and their's not a thing you can do about it!' Have a blessed Christmas David!

Yes to your first question David and Yes to your second. Let us not forget that this season celebrates the way God prepared for us so we may not go to hell, non other then the birth of Jesus Christ His Son.
