Ready for Work

How do you know if you're ready for work? Have you the proper training? Is your experience commensurate with your requirements? Are you physically prepared? Are your emotions in balance? Are your hopes consistent with the job before you?

For many things in life, I've discovered that I'll never be ready. If I wait for the perfect moment, I may very well miss the opportunity.

Regrettably, for most of us, ready comes before set and go. If we never get past ready, we'll never be set to go. Here's where Nike philosophy is helpful: "just do it."

1 John 3:3 (MSG)
3 All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready, with the glistening purity of Jesus' life as a model for our own. it."

Our Vision and Mission strategy for 2009, set in November 2008, is
READY, AIM, FIRE...

no point being ready if you dont aim and fire..

no point being ready, and aiming without firing..

and no point firing without first taking aim and being ready (positioned)

Not about guns or killing people..but about evangelistic thrust...saving people, that's us..

we have 7 ready aim fire events planned for the year... 2 have come and gone bringing close to 100 new people into the church for those events.
we are about to launch out into the 3rd event of saturating postcode 3064 with Salvos 3064..
we are ready for work, we are aiming to make a difference, and we are firing ...with all we have.

I agree lets just do it... Nike have that bit right.

will we ever be ready really ? I love how you put it..

no we probably wont be, but we should just do it anyway.

from our point of view and I 'm sure yours... its life and death kind of stuff.

Love reading your thoughts each day, thanks.

I know that God will honour our good intentions. Starting to learn that the Army sometimes does too. We just need to keep doing it.
