Looking for Solutions

Want to talk about what's wrong with the world? Enjoy yourself, but can we get to the solutions? The sky is falling...does anyone have an umbrella or something?

Sure, understanding the problem is the beginning of solving it. Can we move on to the solutions? Do we have constructive ideas yo offer? We should.

I believe it was Eldridge Cleaver who said, "If you're not a part of the solution, you're a part of the problem." I think there's some truth there. If you're looking for me today, come over to those who are working on solutions. I hope to be with them.

Zechariah 8:6 (MSG)
6 A Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies: "Do the problems of returning and rebuilding by just a few survivors seem too much? But is anything too much for me? Not if I have my say."

Maybe the solution to the problem is to stop creating solutions. Each solution seems to create more problems than it solves. We are over managed.

I read today...

"Jesus turned the leadership equation around with his emphasis on servant leadership. Instead of establishing leadership positions in His kingdom, He focused on the character of leadership, declaring it to be that of serving others in humility. Instead of their studying rulers for leadership insight, he suggested that His disciples should learn from children." McNeal, A work of Heart.

While good organisational structures are required for efficiency, I believe that an attitude of servanthood and (truefaced) humility is required for our mission to find effectiveness.
