The Waverley Temple Corps has been hosting The Revelation Project for three weeks now and has another week to go. It has included Sunday night meetings and mid-week Bible studies on the book of The Revelation.
We were blessed to be there tonight with over 200 to share in the experience. The music, the singing and the Word of God. What could be better? There is still a Bible study at 7:30 pm, Thursday and a concluding Sunday night meeting with Lt. Colonel Lucille Turfrey bringing the message.

3 Blessed is the one who reads the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart what is written in it, because the time is near.

This comment has nought to do with your blog. I do however appreciate your elegant and truly Christian writings.
I am disappointed and angered that Hillsong Advertisments appear in The War Cry. After reading Tanya Levin's People in Glass Houses plus other things I know about this spiritually bankrupt money making machine I wonder about those who accept and print these ads in The Salvation Army's ranks.
It is Hillsong that indirectly has destroyed for me ever having the privelege of attending a true Holiness Meeting anymore. Officers of today are only interested in Clayton Salvation army meetings. I've heard that the Divisional Officers of the Sydney West division don't attend SA meetings. They go to Hillsong!
I feel betrayed.

Wow, if most of the 200 are involved in the bible study as well that is truely awesome.
As for my brothers comment above (re: Hillsong ads & GWS divisional staff) can I firstly say I am sorry he is hurting so much. And can I suggest he seek the counsel of his own corps elders.
Often when we hurt we do not see straight, we can become quick to judge and condem others.
Hillsong still proclaim Jesus Christ and theological or cultural differences should not seperate us from Christ.
As far as I am aware I have seen divisional staff from the Sydney's Greater West at Army meetings so maybe it is worth checking your source before promting a rumour.
On a less serious note the Officer at Clayton must be happy with his or her attendance :-)
hillsong church changed my life forever, their witness is and their work is so misunderstood and criticised, mostly by those who have never attended a hillsong meeting..for if they attended they would know that Christ is honoured, the lost are saved, the saved are discipled and helped and the hurting are ministered to in grace, this church builds the gretaer body of Christ and everyone who has ever attended a conference would know that the heart of Hillsong church is to build the local church, we should do the same. it doesnt matter what song we sing, it just matters that we sing a song unto the Lord Jesus. Army or other. and they do that...and so do we, lets just celebrat ethe body of Christ instead of criticisng our left hand.

BM You make a Fair and humourous comment about
Clayton Corps. I daresay Clayton's anything now is an outdated adjective rather like the expression "not happy Jan."
However I feel TSA meetings are now like anything that can be described as generic like Coles or Woolies in house no name merchandise.
As for anonymous I have no doubt Hillsong changed your life forever. I imagine you were probably treated well like Geoff Bullock.
