Don't give up seeking God. Continue to check every aspect of your life in comparison to what God is saying. He never changes, nor does His word. Our lives are so dynamic that we tend to see things differently at different points in our lives.
There are some things I have held to firmly as a young man that have taken a turn in my understanding. Maturity and life's experiences in the context of a deeper relationship with God have shaped me.
Consider the different place of people in their journey when relating to them. Just maybe they're only getting to where you are or passed that point a while ago.
Hence, always seeking God is the way to Go.
Matthew 6:33 (MSG)
33 Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don't worry about missing out. You'll find all your everyday human concerns will be met.

i must say, in a very simple way, your words always inspire.
Do you believe in God, Jim?
Yes, David.
It seems to me that the average, unsaved person on the street would never be able to find God. They are either not looking, or not looking in the right places.
When you consult your Bible, you sometimes find its the other way around, ie it's God whoe does the seeking out of people by calling them into a particular service or to give an account of their deeds.
I seem to remember reading somewhere in said book that people do not naturally seek God, anyway.
But I guess you are really preaching to the converted, so the above comments are not relevant.
There's a lot of truth in what you say, David.
what I always noticed in the Bible is that people were just going about the business of living when an extrordinary thing happened, God showed up. We do seem to make a lot about people accepting God, when the Bible seems to be about God accepting them.
Jim, what was Abram doing when God decided to make him the father of the faith? Does it say anything about Abram's faith when God came to him?
I agree, people don't naturally seek God.
In said book:
"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." Romans 3:10-12
I think only God knows what happens to those that never hear of Jesus. Fortunately for each of us we are not in that position.
The question remains for each of us: What are we going to do in response to what we have heard of God?
Psalm 105:4
Search for the LORD and for his strength; continually seek him.
Yes, we as humankind do not naturally seek God yet He calls us to seek him...continually.
Isaiah 45:19b
I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me if I could not be found. I, the LORD, speak only what is true and declare only what is right.
Matthew 7:7-8
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.”
Acts 17:27, 28
“His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist.
