Young Adults

I'm not sure if the twenty-somethings appreciate the term, young adults. Labels, generally don't work completely. I enjoyed brekkie with a good group of such individuals this morning from the Melbourne Central Division. They are terrific and we enjoyed dialogue on many different subjects. It was amazing how quickly we entered into some deep discussion, over breakfast.

I'm convinced that God is anointing a new wave of young adults for the mission of His Kingdom. We're seeing them here, there and everywhere. Hallelujah!

1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV)
12 Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.

Hallelujah! I too believe that God is anointing new leaders for the work of His Kingdom! May we be faithful to our Great God, seek Him with all our hearts and passionately serve Him with all that we do. May others see Christ in us, and may their lives be transformed by our great loving, caring, forgiving and mighty God! Praise YHWH!

It would be great to have the enthusiasm of the young and the wisdom of the old.

God grant me the srenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things that I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I really feel what the Army needs at the moment is role models.

Role models who are young, role models who are old. Role models who are prepared to put pride aside and let God shine through them into the lives of others.

Why do so many young leaders fall and do not became those great leaders God intended them to be? It is not because of how they are treated by the old, but simply by their own pride.

Yes, the Army needs leaders, but God needs servants.

Are you prepared to be a servant for God????

From the lips of children and infants you have ordained praise.
~ Psalm 8:2.NIV

The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
they will grow like the cedar of Lebanon;
planted in the house of the LORD,
they will flourish in the courts of our God.
They will still bear fruit in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,
proclaiming, "The LORD is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him." ~ Psalm 92:12-15. NIV)

Isn't it wonderful that God doesn't stick any 'use by' or 'best before' dates on us! Age has nothing to do with our service in God's kingdom, our humility and availability does. What a great God we serve!
