At the beginning of this day, I was asking the Lord for a certain confirmation of a very important hope. During the day He answered my prayer with a larger confirmation than I expected. Hallelujah!
Prayers answered. Onward march!
Philippians 3:13 (MSG)
13 Friends, don't get me wrong: By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, but I've got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus.

It's amazing how you can associate these two events in a causally connected manner, Jim. But that's just your scientific mind and finely-tuned analytical thinking shining through, isn't it?
What would you describe the fact that Jim prayed and received an answer as David? Coincidence? I'm amazing by the number of coincidences in my life where I have prayed and received an answer. It's 100% actually.
You should try it!

So JPK, did God always say 'yes' to whatever you asked? Or did He sometimes say 'no' or 'not yet'? I'm guessing that you didn't always get a 'yes', so really what you believe is that no matter what the outcome of a situation that you prayed about, it was still answered by God. Or perhaps it was just coincidence - sometimes what you wanted to happen did happen, other times it didn't. The logic of some people just baffles me.
Thank goodness the answer does not always come back to us as a yes.
I entrust my life decisions to a God who knows me and my future. God transcends my understanding at times, but He has always had my interests and future in mind. I submit to His ideals and His mission, for I know that He Knows me, and so threrfore, I am committed to His ways for my life.
Faith does not disappoint, when viewed in retrospect.

If God said yes to me id be amazed to think where i would be! Sometimes He says yes, sometimes He is silent for very long periods, sometimes He says no.
Its a different walk for different folk. Its a personal one which for every person there is a differing answer. Its not just an "answer", there is a life, a faith, a working out, time, seasons, changing situations. Dont box God in, but dont step ahead of Him. It seems like a walk of contradictions at times.
Who knows? I dont, but i am glad He does.

Coincidence and fate get too much credit. Some make them out to be a god.
Jack,
The answers I received were "yes", "no" or "wait". No matter what the answer, I know that God has my best interests at heart so trust Him. In all cases God's decision and timing were perfect.
I agree, it's not logic but my God is bigger and better than my logic. (Thank God for that!!!)
JPK
So JPK, trying praying to the chair you sit on - you will still get an answer that is either yes, no or wait.
Jack,
The answer I will get is nothing. The chair is not the creator of all things who is interested in my life and loves me no matter what.
JPK
David you are rude. Your beliefs are different from the TC, however that doesn't give you the right to belittle Jim.
