While the heavens declare the glory of God, we are made in His image. We can see Him by looking into others around us. In Biblical context, that understanding pre-exists the salvation of the individual. This is to say that we can see the image of God in every person.
God walked into my office today in the person of a couple of people. Each showed me His love, creativity, ingenuity and concern. God's amazing. He keeps me focused on Him if I keep my eyes open for Him.
Look up. look out. Look for Him.
1 John 2:5 (MSG)
5 But the one who keeps God's word is the person in whom we see God's mature love. This is the only way to be sure we're in God.

Commissioner, your post today reminds me of a favourite prayer of mine ~ "May I see the face of Christ in everyone I meet and may everyone I meet see the face of Christ in me."
funny, i had the same type of experience yesterday at an annual dinner in a small town. it was evident that the Spirit of God was there through the ministry of two dedicated servants.
Most often it is through a persons actions that we see God.
That being the case, it is often difficult to see God when a persons actions are far from being "God like" or Godly.
For example, I struggle to see God in Adolf Hitler, but I can see Him much easier in the life of Mother Teresa.
As God's representatives, we must be careful that our actions reflect His love, justice, mercy and holiness.
For God has no favourites (Romans 2:11)
