Social Justice

This territory is on track with social justice. Under the leadership of Captain Danielle Strickland, our efforts are multiplying to glorify God. From fair trade to human traffiking and everything in between, we're learning more and more how to better engage our people in these areas of ministry.

You can learn much more from the justsalvos.com website. It's worth looking at and then just doing something.

Praise God for Captain Danielle and for encouragement and blessing she has brought with her.

It’s great that we have a Territorial justice person who can commit their time to creating websites, traveling the country public speaking and raising awareness and creating resources for people on the ground to use (That is meant quite sincerely). The Salvation Army Australia Southern Territory has a great reputation in the social field brought about over many years faithful and dedicated service. There are a lot of officers, both social and corps who have been a part of “reforming society” in innovative and life giving ways and we have been on track a long time. (To constantly acknowledge the same one or two people is to dramatically undermine the value of those in ministry who are faceless to yourself. Note that this is not “tall poppy syndrome” as per your blog Sat May 3rd but a recognition that the constant singling out of one or two individuals makes the rest of us feel worthless, and I am sure that it not what you are seeking to do).

Thank you anonymous. I'm grateful for your understanding and for not pointing out that I originally spelled justice wrong(now corrected).
