Bushfire Workers

We still have Salvos working in the bushfire areas with victims and other workers. Some have been connected in this work since the first day of the catastrophic fires. As of the latest count, there were 210 deaths, over 2000 homes destroyed and over 7000 people displaced. In addition, many businesses were also decimated by the fires and by the resultant lack of business as usual.

Our workers continue to counsel, support and assist on a daily basis at a number of sites throughout the areas affected. I'm grateful to each who have been serving the Lord in this way. There's still much to do and people to help. We'll stay as long as we're needed.

1 Corinthians 16:16 (MSG)
16 honor and look up to people like that: companions and workers who show us how to do it, giving us something to aspire to.

Thank you for the update - and a reminder of the commitment you gave that TSA will stay as long as we are needed. We, here in Kalgoorlie-Boulder, continue to pray for sustaining grace, wisdom and discernment for all involved - in what ever way. And for their continuing awareness of the peace and presence of God.
