Cultural Christian

According to Wikipedia, "Cultural Christian is a broad term used to distinguish people with either ethnic or religious Christian heritage from those who are active members of the Christian faith. The distinction is necessary because unlike many religions such as Islam most Christian groups do not believe Christianity is something one can be born into but must convert to later in life. As such, the majority of the population of the Western hemisphere could broadly be described as cultural Christians."

When we speak of winning the world for Jesus, we mean a personal relationship with God through Jesus. God's personal love is way better than simply being a cultural christian. Talk to a Salvationist. They'll help you.

1 John 2:13 (MSG)
13 You veterans were in on the ground floor, and know the One who started all this; you newcomers have won a big victory over the Evil One. And a second reminder, dear children: You know the Father from personal experience.

Which Salvationists would you suggest? Ones of a liberal theological persuasion, or those that lean more to fundamentalism? They contradict each other, so both types cannot be correct.

If it's easier for you, just list the names of Salvationists to avoid (if that is the smaller list), or the list of recommended Salvationists.

I get it.

God doesn't make us all the same when we give our lives to Him. That's a relief to many people.

Life would be boring if everyone was the same.

If we were all liberals, we would have no one to argue with about how old the earth is.

If we were all fundamentalists, we would just sit around and pray and not do anything else, as God will supply all our needs literally with no effort on our part.

So yes its good having a mix :-)
