Yarra

Now the Yarra is a river...the primary river in Melbourne. It is remarkably refreshing to be walking or traveling in Melbourne and to come upon the Yarra. Civilisation commonly forms around the water routes and the Yarra is no exception. There are cafes and sky scrapers. There are shops and street actors. There are stadiums and gardens. The river and its banks are loaded with life and the lifestyles of the people.

The Scriptures speak often about rivers and streams and and their role in the story of grace. I'm a particularly intrigued with the reference about the river of life in the Holy City. That sounds like heaven. So it is. God has prepared this river for us. Let us freshly engage in the joy of bringing so many more to the river.
