Enjoying Worship

When we worship the Lord, we do so for Him to enjoy and when we worship the Lord right, we enjoy it too. Don't you just love the Lord? Singing His praises, praying with expectation, listening to His Word for today are all aspects of worship that are great for all of us. The worship band leads and you hear a particular guitar rift or a unique rhythm set. That just gets me going. The brass play some inspiring arrangement or the songsters display harmonic balance to the delight of my senses and to the delight of God.

This is a beautiful connection for us all. The corps we attended today was all that. Hallelujah! We're blessed. Get to the Army for worship. Contribute to the worship and enjoy the presence of God in all that takes place.

Psalms 29:2 (NIV)
2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.

When we worship him, He takes us to a secret place. It may be where we feel safe. Might be where we feel Joy. Some of us may feel Love. Its God… all over! Jesus is here! He wants us to worship Him. It blesses Him and he will continue to bless us too.

Do you want to come into that secret place? Do you want to know what the Lord wants you to do for His Kingdom? Let’s worship together!

O Praise him! Jesus Jesus!

I have had some conversations recently about the connection between worship and mission. I believe that this needs to be strong - perhaps even synonymous at times, in the sense that real engagement in God's mission in the world is a true act of worship. From this understanding, Sunday is only the beginning of our worship, inspiring us to go into the world and continue to seek out God's presence in the poor and the vulnerable.
