New Ideas

Let's be open to new ideas. If we are to move forward, change is inevitable and new ideas are a part of the plan. They come from God in many ways. We have to be listening and considering and praying for the inspiration of these new directions or concepts or options. Anything less would be maintenance. Do we really want to be satisfied with that?

It does take discernment to know when a new idea is a good idea. Is it consistent with the direction of God? Does it align with our God-given mission? Is it feasible? These are some of the qualifiers that will render a new idea workable or file-able. Often, some of these new ideas have been tried before and it's time to try them again. Either way, we need to be on the look out for ways to extend the Kingdom of God and that will glorify Him. Hallelujah!

Revelation 21:5 (MSG)
5 The Enthroned continued, "Look! I'm making everything new. Write it all down—each word dependable and accurate."

A good blog James.

What does God want TSA AUS to look like in 5 years?

When people own a vision they will pray, advocate, give, protect, sacrifice and even die for the vision. A great leader asked of his people, are you just a worker a "hire-ling", or are you an "owner".

Lord, I hope that I am an owner. I am in this until you call me home.

New ideas, yeah, sounds like a revolution! Out with maintenance and in with Heavenly explosions! Things of man grow, but things of God explode!

Something God revealed to me at ACC was we need to evolve as an Army to grow (explode!?) and be useful for God and also to man (2love!)- but to evolve & be this, we need to have internal revolutions happening on a personal level and at a corps level, and at a divisional level and at a social & justice level....

Thanks for you dream Commissioner that you envisioned us with at ACC, it shows that revolution is really within our reach!

if you lived where I live. hung with the peeps i hang with, you'd know maintenance isn't an option because everything still needs to be fixed. On the street level, nothing has changed. people still need the good news of the Lord.
if change in the Salavation Army means how can we find a better way of reaching the poor and destitute, making sure there will always be resources available to meet the basic physical and spiritual needs of the lost, I'm on it.
