Communicating

You can want to communicate with someone all you want, but there are a few factors that remain essential to make it happen. First, you have to select a medium. That includes person to person, phone, email, and letters. Second, you should have something to say. Third, you deliver the message. Then there is the all important step of the recipient receiving. If the machine isn't on, the message will never get through. How about opening up the mail file or answering the phone? These too are required for the communicating to take place.

Now communicating really includes a response, not just the receiving and here we go again. Perhaps that explains why we don't communicate well.

Of course, with God, communicating is made right. He's always with us and not only receives the message, but fully understands what we really mean. On the other side of the coin is the necessity of us keeping our hearts open to hear what He is communicating. Let me remind you that it starts with love.

Romans 5:8 (MSG)
8 But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.
