Monday Connections

The meetings are over but the work continues. Please hold on to what God said to us this weekend. We simply must act on it to glorify God.

Many have commented on the experience. We need local forums organised to draw together the thoughts, concerns and plans for us to follow God forward. Hallelujah!

John 15:16 (NIV)
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit--fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

Jim,

Just a short note to advise that we closed Bendigo Community Services on Friday and paid all staff to attend Connections 07 as a Professional Development Excercise. I am aware that many staff have only a limited, local knowledge of The Salvation Army and I was keen to expose them to the broader TSA.

Well, the difference made is outstannding. I have soldier staff now wearing uniform to work,non-christians inspired and renewed passion and questions asked at our daily reflections meeting. I imagine you have suffered some grief as to the cost of hosting such an event, however, from a Bendigo perspective, whatever costs expended are negligible when you consider Kingdom possibilities. Thank You for your facilitation and Northern Victoria Division for agreeing to fund the day. Lloyd.

Lloyd, I agree.

The dividends of the weekend will continuo to bring benefit to the Territory for may years to come. The Melbourne Central Division ran a day conference for soldiers and employees in Feb 2006, and we are still hearing how good it was from the employees.

Lloyd well done for bringing your staff to Connections07.

Thank you Commissioners Jim and Carolyn.
