Moving Forward

In gratitude to God, we have much to do going forward. It will be a delight and a joy to serve God in the context of a new day. How much is changing and how much need not change?

Where do you see it? Willing to host a forum to discuss what we have learned? You don't need permission.

Let me know.

John 15:7 (NIV)
7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.

Zech. 8:23 (Message)
A Message from God-of-the-Angel-Armies:
"At that time, ten men speaking a variety of languages will grab the sleeve of one Jew, hold tight, and say, 'Let us go with you. We've heard that God is with you.' "

So be it!!!

Commissioner

I thoroughly enjoyed onnections and didnt want it to end. I do however still have a heavy heart as from my own experience the new day will still be rained upon by those who dont want to make the connections and I know that some of these people even though they hold positions of power did not attend connections because their ears are deaf and their eyes are blind. What happens here? Some of us cannot move foward if people in power block this....

Be obedient to God. Go ahead and do what you have to do. Don't limit God by not doing what he wants you to do. Do it - and others will catch the vision. And even if they don't, you have listened to the voice of God and responded to him.

Connections was awesome... just one query, how can we evangelise our community and the wider city at the social justice rally and kids rally after, then invite them to church only to have them turn away because we can't register kids on the day for kids church. i know of a family who couldn't attend because our evangelical kids church department said no rego's on the day... every other denomination does the on the day registration every week. the only frustation to an awesome weekend with Jesus. Roll on the One Day Vision!

We call it 'duty of care' when you bring 100's of unfamiliar kids gleaders who do not minister together into an unfamiliar facitily with no kids resources you need to be tight in the area of 'duty of care'.

While at the Saturday community rally I was approached asnd asked about inviting any community contacts to Sundays kids connections, while outling the above thoughts and our need to comply with our childsafe policy, the offer was made to invite the community contact and I would speak with the family and the appropriate decission would then be made.

I trust that every contact that was made at the community rally has been followed up by forming a relationship of trust and where appropriate involved contacting the nearest corps for further disciplship to begin.

We had an awesome kids team who ministered to an aggregate of over 750 kids without inccident from all over our Territory.

Thank you to all those kids leaders who cared for our kids over the weekend, we appreciate the "Duty of Care" issues and it is good to hear you weren't taking any risks with those that had registered - It is sad that people have criticised you guys for being careful with our precious kids THANKS HEAPS.

Maybe next time those who were unhappy could sacrifice the awesome time they had to look after the kids, just a thought.

Well done to all the children's workers who put on a fabulous program at the sacrifice of not being part of the wider program.

It was a full on few days for you all and it was really appreciated by those parents who accessed the program.

Blessings to you all
