Generosity

There are some pretty terrific people out there being used by God in mighty ways. From the smallest donor to the largest, we are fortunate to have the hand of God upon us to be the recipients of resources from these generous people.

Occasionally I have the privilege to meet these God led people. I am amazed with each one who has such confidence in The Salvation Army to share their hard earned money with us. Hallelujah!

God bless them each. We are grateful to you for them.

Philippians 4:12 (NIV)
12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want.

I can go one better. Isaac Watts: "What bliss will fill the ransomed souls, when they in glory dwell, to see the sinner as he rolls, in quenchless flames of hell." These are however only the thoughts and words of man. I prefer to rely on the Holy, inspired word of God such as Romans 5:6-11.

Rom 5:6-11 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person--though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die--
8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since, therefore, we have now been justified by his blood, much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.
10 For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life.
11 More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

I will not be waving from heaven but crying for those who have been lost.
